Take A Load Off Texas

The Oncor Take A Load Off Texas Residential Energy Audit Program offers comprehensive Texas Home Energy Audits for Oncor customers.  This exciting new program assures the quality of an audit when you choose a Texas HERO certified Home Energy Auditor (like Mr. Hackney), dramatically improving the reliability and value of information delivered to homeowners at attractive pricing.  An incentive is paid to Service Providers who meet the program's quality standard.

All Oncor residential customers are eligible to paricipate.
If your home has areas that are difficult to heat or cool comfortably; if you've experienced unusually high or irregular utility costs; or just considering updating an older home - you can get reliable advice on actions that will make a difference as it relates to energy utilization. Whether your motivation is saving money or helping the enviornment, a Texas Home Energy Audit is the smart way to start.

What can you expect from a Texas Home Energy Audit? The Texas Home Energy Audit (Audit) includes an initial interview, visual inspection of your home, diagnostic performance testing, energy simulation, and analysis as well as a clear scope of proposed work for the improvements. At the completion of the Audit, the Auditor will proivde you a written report with savings estimates and suggestions that will:

  • Identify quick fixes and easy actions, when and where possible,
  • Recommend avaliable alternatives and cost effectiveness guidance,
  • Provide information about incentives available for specific energy improvements, and
  • Help you establish priorities for action.

How can you get started? Simple.  You may search Oncor's website link above for a Service Provider, visit www.texashomeenergyaudit.com or contact Mr. Hackney at (866) 315-3188.  Either way, your auditor will provide you with a price proposal for the Audit, a financial disclosure statement, and a Customer Participation Agreement.  So get started now!

Thank you,
Jerry D. Hackney
